Center for Developmental Biology, new laboratory
CDB plans to broaden our study on developmental biology to life-cycle science. Along with this line, we seek up to two outstanding scientists engaged in the investigation of 1) Adult stem cells (cell biology, physiology, pathology and/or its application to medicine), or 2) Fundamental mechanisms of development. While we have excellent animal facility for the mouse and fish, we are also interested in candidates developing new model organisms. The evaluation criteria of highest priority in this recruitment are the novelty and creativity of the research plan; those seeking to undertake new research challenges are welcomed, irrespective of their scientific background or stage of career development. We will provide an internationally competitive package including lab space, start-up and annual budget.
The CDB is centered within a growing Kobe Biomedical Innovation Cluster and is determined to help establishing productive interaction between a successful applicant(s) and nearby hospitals or biomedical companies. Applicants must have a doctor degree. Laboratories are internally funded and have access to facilities for animal care, as well as support for imaging, genomics and proteomics.
