The RIKEN Kobe Institute was established in April 2002 as one of the core facilities of the Kobe Medical and Industrial City Program at a site on Port Island, stage II in Kobe. Since its opening, the CDB has been making considerable advances as one of the world's foremost research institutes in the fields of development and regeneration. As it did last year, the Kobe Institute will hold the CDB Open House as described below to introduce the CDB facilities and research to the general public. 　Many of the presentations and activities will be in Japanese, but arrangements can be made for guided tours in English.    Saturday, April 17, 2004    10:00 - 16:00 (Last entry 15:30)    Admission: Free
