The RIKEN CDB is committed to providing a collegial, international work environment for staff, and welcomes applicants of every nationality, ethnicity and gender. CDB labs and administration are English-Japanese bilingual, and it is Center policy to conduct all meetings at which any person present is not a Japanese speaker entirely in English.

into an exciting but unfamiliar environment, the CDB has established the Office for Research Communications (ORC). In addition to producing promotional exhibits, materials and content (including much of the CDB website) and administering international affiliations, the ORC offers a wide range of support services to staff from abroad. These support services range from assistance with obtaining and renewing visas, to apartment hunting in the Kobe area, to assistance with communications inside and outside of the Center.
