Antonio studied mechanical engineering at the University of Zaragoza in Spain. He started his research career at the Braunschweig University of Technology (Germany), where he wrote his doctoral thesis on computational biomechanics. After working some years as a lecturer and researcher in Braunschweig, he moved to the Wang lab to work on the mechanics of epithelial morphogenesis. He aims to combine his knowledge in mechanical modeling with experiments for a better understanding of morphogenesis, and with it, propose new models and experimental approaches. When he is not in the lab, he likes to go bouldering or to do water sports.
