Dietmar Schmucker

Dietmar Schmucker received his Diploma and Ph.D. degree from the Ludwig Maximilians University, Munich, Germany. His Ph.D. thesis work was conducted at the Max-Planck Institute of Biophysical Chemistry in Göttingen, Germany. He continued postdoctoral training at the Rockefeller University, New York, and University of California, Los Angeles. He now leads a basic research laboratory at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and is an Assistant Professor of Neurobiology at Harvard Medical School. His laboratory investigates molecular mechanisms controlling the developmental and functional specificity of neuronal circuits.
