Mei Zhen

Mei Zhen Received her B. Sc. from the Wuhan University Department of Biochemistry in 1990, before moving to the University of British Columbia, where she received her Ph. D. in 1995. She served as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, Santa Cruz, Department of Biology from 1996 to 200, before taking concurrent positions as scientist at the Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute, Mt Sinai Hospital, Toronto and assistant professor in the Department of Medical Genetics and Micorbiology at the University of Toronto in 2001. She was a Human Frontier Fellow from 1997 to 2000, named Canadian Research Chair since 2001 and a senior scientist at the Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute in 2007.
